SM CINEMAS WILL BE hosting this year's Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival organized by the
Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
The filmfest will run from 11-17 Sept featuring movies by most creative film directors like Mel Chionglo, Gil Portes, Peque Gallaga, Tikoy Aguiluz, Chito Rono, Jose Javier Reyes, Maryo delos Reyes, Lore Reyes, Romeo Zusara, Joel Lamangan and Celso Ad Castillo.
All Masters Edition will showcase the following films: Sonata (Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes) starring Richard Gomez and Cherrie Gil; Ano ang kulay ng mga kalimutang pangarap (Jose Javier) starring Angel Aquinod and Bobby Andrews; Otso (Elwood Perez) starring Anita Linda; Isang Tag-araw ni Twinkle (Gil Portes) starring Ellen Adarna; Tinik (Romy Suzara) starring Raymond Bagatsing and Hayden Kho; and Eman (Tikoy Aguiluz) starring Derek Ramsey.
Other films include Lauriana (Mel Chionglo) starring Bangs Garcia and Allen Dizon; Badil (Chito Rono); Lihis (Joel Lamangan) starring Jake Cuenca and Joem Bascon; Bamboo Flowers (Maryo delos Reyes) starring Mylene Dizon; and finally a tribute for the late director of Celso Ad Castillo with his last film, Bahay ng Lagim. Lino Brocka's Maynila: sa mga kuko ng liwanag, and Manuel Conde's Genghis Khan will also be screened during the festival.
